Now, 11 games into this pitiful season with absolutely nothing to indicate that Huberdeau or Kadri (up until the last 2 games playing with Zary) have changed in this Sutter-less world, I'm just talking the talk now haha I hope Huberdeau/Kadri/Huska/etc.. make me forget about the only man that kept this organization in professional hard-working manner, but right now it is going .

I would like to eat crow, and honestly, if the Flames are forced into a rebuild because Sutter isn't there to prop them up by 2-3 levels above their actual talent level, that is more than good for me.

Or, maybe this team turns it around and Huska's system turns out to be brilliant, but that is a far, far, far way from even entering my head as a possibility
Maybe try making posts that actual have value then, instead of drive bye posts that make it some Sutter vs Huberdeau & Kadri power struggle. That is a lazy narrative that is missing about 95% of the actual context of what happened in Calgary.

If Sutter wasn't so stubborn he would still be coach here, and they probably make the playoffs last year. Huberdeau and Kadri have proven Sutter right, but call ups like Duehr, Pelletier, Zary, Pospisil, etc have shown that the youth on one of the best teams in the AHL should have been counted on more last year.

And if Sutter wasn't so damn stubborn then I think this team would have made the playoffs if they just infused that youth into the solid structure he had set up with the veterans.

So that's another reason he's probably no longer here. Sutter did a lot of good, and his on ice system was boring but very effective, the problem he had was player relationship and management and that's why he's no longer here.

I'll give Dissentowner credit though...the Huska hire seems poor at this point. I had no real knowledge of the systems he wanted to play, but had liked his work with young dmen and the Flames defense throughout his career. But yeah it seems like he's lacking the instincts a head coach needs to have to get the most of a lineup and use them to highlight their strengths.
