Then they don't move him. They've shown they will not attach a sweetner or retrain a large chunk of salary. As I have said, there is no gun to the Canucks' head in regards to making a deal. The team is doing well and they are cap compliant. They would like to move Garland for their own internal cap flexibility while giving the player a chance to succeed elsewhere.
