How does this move not create cap flexibility? You dump multiple years of Garland for 2 free agents. Dube can be qualified or can let walk but he is a younger, cheaper likely better Garland. The Canucks have been trying to move Garland for multiple years. Your value is way off as no one is taking that cap hit without a sweetener or sending a contract with term back. A team will pay a 2nd for Tanev without the Flames needed to take on an overpaid contract for another 2 years after this one.
