That's a huge benefit and certainly a net win for the Flames. I think Huberdeau is completely useless as a Flame and that's unlikely to change, so if they can rid themselves of that contract they should do it.
I just wouldn't want the Flames to think "Johnny G is back, lets build a winner around him"...this team needs to rebuild and look to the future in either case.
