She doesn't really have control over it though, so it doesn't particularly matter what she thinks.
Canada's population is growing very fast, but it's almost all international immigration with very little natural increase. Alberta is younger than average so we have a bit more natural increase.
The mechanism for population growth in Alberta is:
1) the Feds admit tons of immigrants, the vast majority of whom move to the cities they have heard of where they have connections (Toronto/Vancouver).
2) that pushes up housing prices in those areas, and so pre-existing residents move to Alberta so they can afford housing.
