All the Canucks have to do is hold on to Garland until such time as they can get something for him that isn't dog water. It's not like he's hurting the team right now, as they are winning games despite him. The Flames have their own comparables for sure, but Kadri isn't one of them. He and Huberdeau are tattooed onto this organization for at least the next half decade.
Would it benefit the team to trade him if the right opportunity came up? Absolutely - they would if they could get value. Do they need to? Not really. You can make your own decision as to who that applies to on the Flames.
