Just finished listening to the new Linkin Park album, Minutes to Midnight. Kind of an interesting album to listen to in a few different ways.
There definitely seems to be almost a split personality feel to this album. Half of the songs are good, heavy rock songs, the other half are lame ass radio ballads.
Songs that I really liked:
2. Given Up
4. Bleed it Out (LP performed this on SNL last weekend, good tune albeit slightly repetitive)
6. What I've done
8. No More Sorrow (Metallica fans, listen to this song and note at the 47 second mark if that riff sounds familiar! Due to the Rick Rubin influence?)
So yeah, not the greatest album, but still some decent tunes. Here is hoping that Chester does a solo album, cause that would be cool!
