Also, what’s the plan for Columbus? Because it doesn’t seem to be working out so well there either. Stockpiling 19 year olds ain’t cutting it. They need a 1C to compliment their existing youth. I suspect patience has worn thin and they’re not getting a 1C for Boone Jenner, Eric Gudbransdon and a third.

Fantilli is certainly considered the franchise center of the future and wouldn’t be surprised if they already think in 2 years he will be a $8-$10M player. Lindholm allegedly comes at a cost of $9M+ so that is risky for the Jackets to lock up so many 30+ players when they look to build around their recent top picks.
I think we need to hope they play well enough to stay in the thick of it to consider a veteran upgrade. I do think if they make a move for Lindholm that they would put one of the assets Sillinger/Johnson/1st on the table but I am not convinced they would put multiple of those on the table.
