The other thing the Flames could do is just prioritize picks. That said, if the Flames do rebuild/retool I bet they want to make it a V, opposed to a U. Conroy might get the green light to rebuild but I suspect the message is, we need to be back in playoff position by the time the new arena opens. Hard to do that if you only stockpiling picks. I think a blended approach is best suited for the organization.

I think a combination is a great thing is as well but I worry the prospects we get would have their confidence shattered by not producing.
