When the winds of politics blow populist, establishment figures like Carney get swept aside. It will be too easy to paint him as an architect of the system that brought on the housing crisis. I don’t think the path is that easy for Pollievre. I suspect the polls aren’t this way because they love PP, it’s because they hate JT. If someone comes in and replaces JT the vulnerability that PP has about his right flank could get exposed and the tide turns quickly.
