You get coached by Sutter long enough and the offensive instincts are just driven right out of you.
In the one season they scored goals it was one line that did it, largely because they just ignored what the coach was telling them to do.
That season they had the following for ESP/60
Johnny - 1st in the league
Tkachuk - 4th in the league
Lindholm - 26th in the league
The next three were
Mangiapane - 89th
Toffoli - 222nd in the league
Dube - 227th in the league
Thank god that first line just ignored the coach when it came to creating offence or that team would have been horrific from an offensive perspective. Your 5th best Even Strength scorer has on average 7 players on each team better than him.
