TLDR version to me, is that the Flames suck at puck support and creating options for the puck carrier.
We were spoiled with how Johnny was so shifty and would create something out of nothing, whereas Huberdeau needs the rest of the team to position themselves to give him options. And on Huberdeau's side, gotta get those feet moving.
