Interestingly, if they had received the 2014 picks from St Louis and Pittsburgh, they would have had picks 21 and 22, who ended up being Fabbri and Kapanen. McCann, Pastrnak, and Kempe were all also still on the board at those picks.
Of course, at the time, the 2013 draft was considered a very strong one and a number of decent players were taken in the late-first and early-second... just not by Calgary.
