Run that same game 10 times and the Flames win at least half of them.
They definitely played well enough to win, and were the better team for the majority of the game (other than the last half of the 2nd). The Stars won because - playing with confidence - they capitalized on their chances, whereas the Flames - playing with zero confidence - just came up one bounce short.
