I watch/listen to a lot of content though.

Easily my most useful subscription. I've rarely felt money was better spent.

So yeah I audibly groan when I see people waiting through ads and suffering. They just don't understand what it's like on the other side. Total bliss and freedom. Just f-n do it.
I groan just as much when I see YT fanboys gushing about paying for the subscription, like it's the greatest thing ever. I now wait for the day people start gushing about NHL centre ice or pornhub premium. Finding workarounds is nothing new and has existed since the day the internet was created. For some reason it's a real point of contention with the YT community when they find out youtubers are looking for way around paying. Youtube doesn't even have to promote it. Subscription payers are doing all the pushback and promoting for them. YT sits back and laughs while racking in the dough as the general public pushes for everyone to get premium.

It might come to a point where I use my VPN and get a cheap YT overseas account one day, but that will be when I've exhausted all other methods. Many of us are simply sick of ads inundating us at every turn in life and know the ramifications of paying to remove ads and what road that leads us down. Sounds like Netflix is already offering that package. Only a matter of time before the executive team at Sportsnet take notice and have us paying to remove intrusive ads during hockey games. Will SN subscribers start complaining if we find away around that? Stay tuned...
