Kinda lucky that they've done it right out of the gate too, otherwise we could have another 15%+ of our cap locked in.
Maximizing the value of our 25-27yr old assets that won't be here or have pending legal issues that pose a risk is prudent in my opinion. Trading guys like Andersson, Mangiapane and Dube for futures becomes appealing given their age and cap at this point. Backlund on a good year is moveable too.
The best returns are typically pre-xmas for big pieces. Let's spread the return out over 3yrs too. 1st's in 2025 + 2026 drafts should be considered.
