Listened to that this morning, Friedman explains it really well. Basically bets were being made from his account in “State X” while his physical location was somewhere else (I would suspect Ottawa). He had someone log into his account and place bets for him (from a state which has legalized sports betting) as his geological location (out of country) would not permit him to make the bets himself.
*For those of us who did not understand proxy betting
I’ll wondering if him agreeing to the 41 games avoided any legal action.
