Flames What can we do about Huberdeau and Kadri?

It's blatantly obvious these two are not going to have success as Calgary Flames. They have almost 80 games with this club now, we got rid of the mean Head Coach who was supposedly the issue with this team, we've put them on top lines, top power play units, on the correct sides of the ice, essentially completely catered to them... yet the results are worse than last year.

Kadri is a -10 and Huby a -9, right near the bottom in the entire league. Aspects of what made them so good in the past (Huby's passing + Kadri's toughness/GAF meter) are some of their worst characteristics on a regular basis. The future looks grim to say the very least.

It's abundantly clear all parties involved are not happy with how things are at the moment. We're tied to them for the better parts of another decade on enormous $ deals. From the Flames brass POV, holy hell they must clearly know enormous, franchise altering mistakes were made. For the players POV, they got a beautiful payday setting them up with generation wealth, yet will truly loathe coming to play hockey for the remainder of their careers.

What can we honestly do with these two? Are you willing to slap substantial picks to them to simply get out of their contracts? How much $ are you willing to eat to accomodate a trade? Do we stay the status quo and see if any aspect of their game rebounds?

Or are we truly, royally F'd for the next 8 years and have no hope of them improving their game or moving them? (Likely the correct answer).
