Yeah I mentioned it earlier in the thread and I'm not sure if you saw, but we've made a deliberate point to spend less there because of the hostility. At first we thought we were part of the town and felt good about shopping there, but they just do not see you the same way. First big purchase I didn't buy in Canmore whereas I would have last year was a new snowboard for my son. That's $800 a local business person didn't get. There will be many more things like that in the coming years unless attitudes change.
Imagine being openly hostile to another human being just because they like the town you love so much that they decided to spend as much time there as they could, so they bought a little home for themselves. Like, that makes you hate them and treat them like ####. It's impossible for me to fathom behaving that way.
