I'm sure the poster was just being facetious or talking about his current play, not necessarily his potential.
The kid clearly has some upside and some good tools, but there's no doubt it was a questionable trade given how little occurred after. I mean, a mediocre scoring, non playoff team in win now mode trades away top goal scorer and point getter for young non-blue chip project.
That's not a trade a team in the Flames position should be making in hopes to get back to the playoffs. What a bizarre and puzzling move.
