There is a vast difference from someone who is well-off - say, making $400k in taxable income in a year as a surgeon, or running a small business that's doing well, and a guy with $30 million in net worth making smart investment bets and earning passive income. And there's then another massive difference between that guy and a billionaire. It's like comparing someone who works minimum wage in Calgary to a poor person in Somalia - your entire outlook is too simplistic.
