So the feds, once again, are calling the grocery CEOs back to Ottawa to explain and defend grocery prices. The feds want it to appear they’re doing something but they’re putting the blame on companies that are just passing rising costs along to customers. The CEOs should tell them to take a hike and mount a comms campaign to educate consumers on the reasons for high grocery prices. The feds should concentrate on actions that can actually accomplish something meaningful, like strategies for bringing down fuel costs.
