Honestly its pretty shallow analysis by the boys on that play. As Pinder even mentions.. Huberdeau had three Flames ahead of him on the backcheck. If he fully commits to Debricant there then he leaves the option for the trailer to be wide open to walk down mainstreet. It's was a team breakdown that started with Kadri being cleanly beat up the ice by Larkin. It then breaks further down when both Hanifin and Kadri commit to the puck carrier (Raymond) which allows Larkin to enter the zone unobstructed and with speed. Sure, I'd agree more awareness was needed from Huberdeau there, but that's a play that could have easily been shut down before it got to the two on one. Hanifin pivots away from the middle of the ice which creates the biggest issue on the play. To solely isolate Huberdeau seems unfair. It wasn't a good look for the five man unit.
