I also find the game state makes a huge difference. If one player is way ahead or way behind the accuracy stat seems to be much more forgiving than if the game is close. It's hard to pick a really "bad" move when the game is not close. I played what I considered a pretty poor rapid game yesterday and it gave me an accuracy of 81% which is the highest of my last 10 games or so. I got that high score because I blundered away a queen and a minor piece by move 11 and was so far behind the rest of my play was deemed accurate.
