All teams should just tell the players what they should sign for. It would be so much easier for the teams and less risky.

Of course, the player might want to take some risk out of their potential career earnings and get the best contract possible for as long as possible?

I'd sign Hanifin for 8 x $6.75 even though I've been on the trade Hanifin train for 2+ years. But if we all think it's a great deal what are the odds that it comes in at a number most of us are comfortable with? Probably pretty low unless he takes a discount to stay, which I doubt he does.

My guess is 8 years would be around $7.5 mil. Maybe even 8. If so, I'd trade him as he just isn't that good, and the team needs to find a replacement for him for less money. Too bad Kylington still is not playing as I think he could easily replace Hanifin or at least close to replace at probably half the money.
