There was just something lost with Ashoka, I didn't think that Rosario did a good job of it, she lacked the original Ashoka's energy, her snark and her optimism.

Instead we got a brooding,low energy Ashoka even when she donned the white robes.

I also agree that the series wasn't particularly well written after the half way point, which is a shame because the villains became way more interesting then the hero's except for maybe Hera.

I will always consider the last 4 episode arch of The Clone Wars as the ultimate Star Wars outside of the original trilogy. It had it all, and you found yourself cheering and mourning for Ashoka.

From the motion capture fight, to the escape from order 66 where a lot of clones that we knew and loved died, you felt the tension and the sadness of the end of the Jedi order. Instead in this series, it just came out as flat and emotionless.
