As would be expected, he's largely supportive of Israel. But he does highlight some important points that some people seem to really gloss over. Particularly how an overzealous response that results in significant harm to civilians is likely to be counterproductive to Israel's long-term security both because it'll harden the resolve of their enemies and potentially weaken the support they rely on from the West:

Not perfect by any means, but as good as you can reasonably expect this day and age. It's almost a salve for my brain reading/listening to him after the past 7 years.
