In a quick summary on housing: Push provinces and reduce red tape to get things actually built. Financially punish for delays in housing starts with federal dollars and reward good behavior and promote construction of new homes.

Right or wrong, we do have an issue with actually building things in a timely fashion in Canada. It's not just local and provincial government's but a lack of skilled workers to do the jobs. The provinces and feds could probably work much better to get trades people certified across Canada better and incorporate foreign trades people as well.

Opioid strategy: Harm reduction and much more emphasis and actually treatment. Getting people off the street, into treatment centers where they can safely detox, live in a safe space afterwards while being monitored and mentored by former addicts and be given jobs training as well.

He is billing a lot of things as a "Common sense approach" and I do think that does have some significant appeal to a lot of people at the ground level.
