Fade to Black is one of the first 80s slasher films about a huge cinephile in LA who doesn't have a great life (bullied, his parents are dead, gets pushed around alot) but every day he escapes into film, especially golden age Hollywood. After being stood up on a date with a Marilyn Monroe lookalike he slowly descends into madness before going on a killing spree while dressing up as several classics Hollywood monsters. Really great movie, also was Chris Pines first role.....his Mother plays the main characters aunt who is taking care of him and she was pregnant with him during filming
