It's not just you; I've noticed it too. It's infuriating, isn't it? The game is timed in tenths of a second for a reason, it goes yhat fast. those little pauses give the opposition time to get set, close a gap, get a stick in a lane, etc. that maybe wouldn't ne there with faster playmaking. Especially goalies! 1/10 of a second might only be 2" of lateral movement for the goaltender, but thar cam easily be the difference between a goal and a save.
