More on Foudy:
I'm not saying claim him or not - hopefully pro scouts gauge it appropriately...
"he earned more ice time and had 7 goals and 10 points in the final 27 games of the season for the Jackets."
Then they go on: "He’s a replacement level player, and I think if he’s on the third or fourth line, he’s a good fit here. He brings some size, plenty of speed, a maturing two-way game, and a touch of offense. He has one more year left on his contract, which gives him one last shot to separate himself from the pack here."

WHAT IS HIS OFFENSIVE CEILING?
It took Foudy 63 regular season games, including 36 this season, to record his first NHL goal. But, he finished the 2022-23 season scoring seven goals in 27 games, which is a 21-goal pace over an 82-game season. Maybe Foudy started receiving lucky bounces to end the season, or maybe he found an offensive touch. Either way, the ship has probably sailed on him being a top-six forward in the NHL, but that doesn't mean he can't be an effective NHL player. There's no reason he can't score 10-to-15 goals a year playing in the bottom six, which is something that the Blue Jackets, or any other team for that matter, would welcome.
