Just to clear up some questions:
1) Pharmacies can't charge for vaccines given to them for free that they get paid by AHS to inject. There are no private COVID shots
2) Pfizer just got into Canada a few days ago so not every pharmacy will necessarily have them, though most should
3) early Flu/COVID shot season the initial shipments are always small, but inventories will stabilize by late October for sure
4) All COVID vaccines available are XBB
5) Health authority injection clinics will book appointments far into the future because they control the vaccine supply and have more employees to ensure they can do it. Pharmacies usually only put appointments up a week or two in advance because vaccine supply and labour are hard to predict further out than that. If there are no appointments available when you look, wait a few days. Demand far, far, far outstrips supply of appointments really in the season but even a week or two after thing stabilize and appointments become available
