But that episode was a gem. It actually made me nostalgic for Voyager which is a feat in and of itself but the overall satire was on point!
- Moopsie - Enough said. Absolutely classic episode.
- Orion Episode - I wont go through all of it, but the 'knife to the shoulder' gag had me going.
- Betazoids - Easily my least favourite and I think weakest episode.
- Ferengi episode - I loves some DS9 references and I liked that while they made Rom look a little silly they undid by making him honest but shrewd as it was all an act for other people's benefit. Except for his love of baseball but I cant explain why anyone loves baseball.
I guess what I'm saying is that its still a solid season, with a few hiccups, yes, we still have no idea who is in the little ship from the cold-opens and they're running out of time to explain it....I think its Evil Boimler and Section 31 but I dont know why, but overall I just think our expectations of Lower Decks are so high that even a really good episode doesnt register.
The other thing for me as well is that it really felt like Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks just flowed into each other and they've both been some of the best Trek since DS9 which makes me pretty happy.
And I'm never happy.
And now....this:
"Locke, when the Lower Decks were released!"

If you compare it to the Simpsons, I guess you could surmise that not every episode will be The Monorail. A lot of it is going to be lower than the bar. I say this as someone who only gets the idea that lower decks is great from everybody talking about it here but I have never personally watched it lol. I don't know, I just don't have much interest in cartoon/comedy Trek.
