Here's the problem with supplements. It's largely a scam with almost zero regulation or oversight. It's up to the manufacturer to inform Health Canada of there's any dangerous issues with production. There are almost no inspections of facilities. Want some proof?
Forta, a herbal male sexual enhancement product, was recalled after a third party found sildenafil (a prescription drug with potentially deadly drug interactions) in it in 2014. Two years later it was recalled again after another third party found tadalafil (a prescription drug of course). Zero repercussions and health Canada found none of this with their oversight.
Also, if no one is testing your product, why actually put in there what you've said is on the label? That's expensive when you could just be putting rice, soybean, or wheat in it instead like they found using DNA coding in this study:

Although we were able to authenticate almost half (48%) of the products, one-third of these also contained contaminants and or fillers not listed on the label. Product substitution occurred in 30/44 of the products tested and only 2/12 companies had products without any substitution, contamination or fillers. Some of the contaminants we found pose serious health risks to consumers.

So you're not even getting any of what you paid for in more than half of the products they tested
