It is illegal to advertise unregulated gambling to Albertans. It is illegal. Period. The only reason the ads continue is no one is actually doing anything about it other than complaining amongst ourselves. Sportsnet shouldn't even be able to broadcast in Alberta until they submit to the laws of Alberta.
It's illegal and Sportsnet is breaking the law. When did Canadian laws become worthless and who is being paid to overlook these laws that were once put in place to protect Albertans.
I am not at all well versed in the area, but what and who would it take and would it be possible to move forward with a class action lawsuit against Sportsnet for their violation of Albertan laws?
