Lemme go the other way then. If huberdeau doesn't contribute earlier in that play then it never gets to mangiapane to make the play and if huberdeau doesn't put on afterburners on the empty net play to beat the Canucks defenseman down the ice then there's no rebound off the post for mangianpane to tap in.
Not to mention the reason huberdeau missed that shot is because he was hooked from behind which by league rules is an automatic goal.
Cmon, I accept that many fans will be unnecessarily harsh on him this season, but at least be somewhat fair, and speaking away points is a ridiculous endeavor unless you plan to do it for the whole league.

You should go back to the post I quoted if it bothers you that much. The argument was he really had three points because Coronato couldn’t finish a nice pass and I pointed out that logic cuts both ways.
I personally don’t think he played that great and I definitely don’t believe he should have been awarded a goal on the play you mention.
But you can’t take away his 2 points. That was my point and as I said, that should help him going forward.
