Stuff you should throw away, but can't....
This is for all the pack rats out there. Okay. I'm moving out of my apartment next month (I resolved the 31st//1st problem - thanks for the advice), so I've started going through my stuff and figuring out what I want to keep and what I don't. There is stuff in here that I haven't used in 20 years. There is stuff here that I have *NEVER* used. Yet I can't toss the stuff away.
Some things that I should probably toss, but won't be:
- Gauntlet:The Deeper Dungeons. On 5 1/4. For the Commodore 64.
- Sheet music for "Breakfast in America - Supertramp"
- Spanish/English dictionary (I will NEVER use it, but it was given to me by a Guatemalan friend; I feel bad throwing gifts away)
- 60 Atari 2600 games
- My winter sleeping bag, despite not going winter camping since Scouts
- A bobble-head of a Gatineau policeman - only because it looks like Pat Burns when he had his mustache
- 3 PC repair kits - despite not owning a PC. My Mac repair kit consists of one screwdriver and a paperclip.
- A back-up, back-up set of computer speakers. Just for that day when I'm desperate to listen to Robert Palmers "Simply Irresistible" and my speakers have stopped working *AND* my back-up speakers don't work either.
- My roller blading gear - blades, knee pads, helmet, etc.. Grew out of that fad, but can't part with the gear. "I MIGHT pick it up again someday...."
