Pretty much expecting the Flames to be a bubble playoff team similar to last season. The Pacific should be weak division once again so the team has a puncher’s chance, but trading away your top goal scorer, top point getter and biggest one shot threat doesn’t make the team better.
The team is basically bringing back the same team going into this season and just hoping and praying that a couple guys improve over last season. Based on what I saw in the preseason, I don’t see much different results from last year, powerplay still doesn’t have much bite, Lindholm and Huberdeau duo still struggling to find chemistry and Markstrom continues to be a question mark.
I don’t know, maybe the team will surprise me, but probably a good idea to keep expectations low which tends to lead to unexpected success based on past history.
