On one hand he costs nothing to acquire, has a dirt cheap contract, and only has one year left under contract.
On the other, is he the best player we can put in the ice at the position? He is a negative possession player who takes more penalties then he draws. So I doubt it.
Obviously the GM and the coach want some grit on the fourth line. Personally I was hoping to have a fourth line who could control the play this year. I guess we will see how it plays out.
