As a side note, Gaza had a huge opportunity to build something great there. The whole place isn't crap hole. There are actually really beautiful hotels and resorts there. Beautiful beaches, pleasant climate. They could throw in a casino strip and become a gambling attraction like Beirut.

If they would lay down their arms, and for sure the ultra wealthy Arab countries in the region would invest on helping it develop a very lucrative tourist industry, if they support them as much as they say. Heck, if they laid down their arms, Israel would probably contribute.

They have potential to do a lot if they just laid down their weapons. If they are afraid of Israel attacking them even after demilitarizing, they could request a peace keeping force.
