The CBC has also, awkwardly, been accused of being anti-Palestinian recently because of their language code. Sad watching people use this situation as an opportunity to attack something they don’t like.
People could just write to CBC and they’ll explain the decision, like they always do.

The first point is irrelevant since CBC has confirmed the memo is authentic.
The memo itself explains the reasoning - they view that terrorism as a term has been politicized and therefore not fit for use.
It doesn't matter that Hamas both in its stated intent (destruction of Israel) and its actions (targeted rape, torture and murder of civilians) perfectly meets the actual definition of a terrorist organization. Calling them that would imply some moral imbalance between the two sides that the CBC clearly isn't comfortable with.
