I’d honestly like to understand what you mean by that.
There are real societal issues still needing to be dealt with in terms of gay and trans youth - but this doesn’t do it. Hockey itself has its own issues ranging from coaches and those in positions of power abusing kids, to lacking an inclusive environment for people to feel included, to creating a culture of entitlement in their highest performing athletes. Again this policy doesn’t solve that.
It’s a bad decision by a floundering organization that is getting called out. The problem I see is those in the category of pushing back against rights and progress for trans youth will use this for their purposes, thus actually setting back the progress we need to make.
