There’s still plenty of time for Atkins to get the boot but something tells me he’s in again if he gave Schneider the vote of confidence. Again I think he should be let go but how often do new guys come in in one offseason and make sweeping changes? I’d guess rarely if never. So who better to give the helm to to clean up his own mess then someone who already knows the players. Again, there’s a lot to do here. A lot of guys underperformed and he has to establish quickly who was from outside factors and who will perform going forward. You can’t have a black hole in the lineup if you want to build a championship team. He’s got a lot to correct on the bat side.
