I watched a documentary on Honky Tonk Man last night. A guy with a mid card gimmick that wasn't working, but through his friendship with Hogan and a bit of timing propelled himself up to a upper mid card slot, won the IC title, converted that to a huge money contract in WCW, managed to mouth off the WWE for years, then got inducted into the hall of fame.
Who's your favorite guy that should have been nothing more then a meh midcard guy that suddenly found himself in a hot feud? Or suddenly got into the upper card, and then faded back to the mid card?
