How so? He was apparently very smart with his money after WWE. People close to him were adamant he never had to come back if he didn't want too. He did side gigs just commentating for UFC, acting on Heelz because he wanted too, not out of need.
I don't know how that would have changed over the past two or three years. Especially with the initial money he got from AEW.
Edit - I think AEW gave him both the wrestling bug again and the bitterness to go somewhere he said he'd never go again to do it.
