Good for Ken McDonald in working and standing up for his constituents of Avalon Newfoundland versus toing the partisan line that is detrimental. He's made the news recently as a backbencher for speaking out about issues hurting Newfoundlanders. Is he perhaps planning to cross the floor?

Will others follow suit? Atlantic Canada in particular where locations are more rural has been hit extremely hard by the carbon tax, and what were once Liberal strongholds are falling behind and losing ground on the CPC. It's clear that Trudeau rules over his party like an autocracy (see Jody Wilson-Raybould and Jane Philpott) so this type of breaking ranks at a time when Liberals are closing in on Ignatieff levels of support may cause further rupture.

Damn, I do love the east coast mentality sometimes. All for one and one for all.

Something to be said for an elected MP to actually working for his constituents. I have heard lots about voting for the best candidate to represent the people. Seems as though they did it, unfortunately, in this case the MP is be working for the people, but the people’s interests aren’t represented by the governing party
