Than factor in some fan complacency with a team that makes the playoffs quite frequently but really has not won much in the post season. Montreal had similar issues with a bad stadium that was not easy to get to. Just that the Expos never really made the post season except for 81. I'm sure the same thing would happen there if the Expos were still there and had like 10 post season appearances in 15 years and no WS wins.
It's bad, but there are some underlying reasons for it.
