I mean sure. A.I. will make mistakes, and not see Oiler jerseys in crosswalks, but the odd glitch is a low price for getting rid of distracted, drunk, angry, incompetent meatbags who would rather not be driving anyway.

This sensor tech and overconfidence in it is contributing tot he poor driver problem. People can't backup without backup cams, and rely on the tech to make up for their pathetic abilities, along with vehicles that have horrible visibility to the point you almost have to have something.
Get everyone back in sedans, hatchbacks, minivans, and wagons and you don't need all these features. Modern vehicles are awful in so many ways. But then, consumers choose them too.
