I have been critical of their pricing in the past (and rightfully so!), but this seems like another small step in the right direction.
Allowing season ticket holders to buy additional tickets at a reduced cost is very welcomed. STH often add an extra ticket on now and then, invite friends, etc. and are obviously great spokespeople for the club. The ticket bank will come in handy too.
Parking is an interesting one. On one hand, there aren't many other viable ways to get there, so having it as an add-on always seemed a bit greasy. Especially when they cancelled the shuttles. Including it for STH is a nice perk and works out slightly to my advantage because I drive most of the time. I hope that they've done the math and have figured that even with a full house, they'll be able to park everyone. I fully expect a gong show at the first match of 2024, but they do eventually figure it out.
So I guess technically, for those that drive and park, it ends up being CHEAPER this year? Even with one less game. Maybe non-drivers might feel a bit miffed. Maybe we'll see the return of the shuttles now that habits and attendance have normalized a bit more post-pandemic. Though the Ship and Kildare's are filling that gap nicely still.
It is also smart of them to make it 15 games. I think that 16 was optimistic and based on a cup run longer than one match, and obviously a playoff match. But give me my 14 league games, an early cup (or next season, a Concacaf game!), and I'll gladly pay per match for any additional cup/playoff matches.
