Dude, nobody here is showing more sympathy for the bear. It's ok to think the bear needed to be put down and also think it's tragic. You should see the huge difference between an elk that is killed for its meat and this situation.
We also don't know what the people were doing when they were attacked. We've all seen people harass wildlife and hopefully that isn't the case this time. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say their deaths are tragic too, and I feel for their families.
